Las Vegas Massage ParlorsThis is part 2 of a 6 part discussion
This is only a frank and open discussion of information you should know before visiting Las Vegas and before visiting a Massage Parlor. There are basically three main flavors of massage parlors in Las Vegas.
The Therapeutic or Medical are generally located in Casino or resorts OR are directly or indirectly linked to medical practices. Therapeutic or Medical Massages can provide many benefits and assist your body with natural healing and recovery following surgeries, accidents and strenuous activities. I have a friend who is a licensed Massage Therapist and she travels to peoples homes or businesses to provide massages JUST for medical purposes. Reflexology Massages are by definition only licensed to work (touch) specific body parts such as feet and hands. Again, these are, when operating 100% legal as defined by the state, directly or indirectly linked to medical practices. Reflexology can also be very beneficial to a healthy and happy body. Personally never been to one, but I understand it is very helpful and healthful. The Asian / Oriental massage and spa business in Las Vegas has ballooned in just a couple of years from a few random spas, to a number way high to count. The question most people have is "are these legitimate massage places or something else?" Well, first of all, all Asian massages are required by law to hire only State of Nevada Licensed Massage Therapists. And these therapists are required to operate under a supervisory or experienced therapist until they have a certain amount of experience and have completed a many months long certified training program. So factually: they are a legit massage service that can provide body healing. Of course the question then becomes, "are extra services available?" That will depend on many factors. But the key to remember is that Prostitution of any form is illegal in Clark County which includes Las Vegas. This is not a gray area of the law, this is fact and it is a felony, not a misdemeanor. It is a felony for someone to offer sex for money and it is a felon for someone to ask for sex in exchange for money. ((It is not, however, a felony for a girl who has just received a $3,000 engagement ring to fuck her boyfriend's brains out, even though if you think about it, He Just Paid For Sex In A Big Way.)) ((And he will keep paying, and paying and paying, well enough of this back to issue at, ah, hand.)) As a long time resident of Las Vegas, I have watched the Asian Massage businesses go from a couple scattered around the entire town to, literally, one on each corned of a major intersection. I watched 3 open in less then six months with in a 3-iron shot of my (daytime) business. With in 1/2 mile radius of my business I now have over a dozen. At least. Generally most of the Asian Massages are located in a couple general areas: Chinatown (centered along Spring Mountain Road west of I-25) and the Green Valley area of Henderson. While you may find them other places, if that is what you are looking for, start looking there. From my casual, non-scientific research (talking to people I know or customers in my other business) the following assumptions can be made:
In summary: In Las Vegas and Clark County, prostitution is Illegal. If you have never had a massage, try one out, they are very good and enjoyable. And if you score a little extra action, you might want to actually keep your mouth shut, because "In Las Vegas and Clark County, prostitution is Illegal". (Have you heard that before???) And finally remember, "Not everything that happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas" - STD's will go home with you and so will a conviction for Solicitation if you are caught seeking sex for money.
